IMO, Ellington should have stayed and just focused on football.

Agree but wish him well regardless. I know some fans like to wonder why USC has so many players declare early but its the trend across the nation.

Last year saw more early entries into the NFL than ever before, which is kind of strange to me since the rookie wage scale prevents the mammoth contracts like Stafford and Bradford got

Shaq Rolsnd will have 60 catches for 1000 yards next year.

And then make a questionable decision to go pro

If we roll w/ Thompson next year and he and Roland play to their capabilities it'll be hard to keep Roland from going to the NFL, I think. QB consistency is important for WRs, and Roland may not have a connection w/ the next QB on the depth chart for when Thompson graduates.

Salley is most likely transferrin to Presbyterian College.

Some other notes:

Elliott Fry is going to be put on Scholarship for '14. The only kicker we had on scholarship was Hull, but I don't know if that means they're pulling his and giving it to Fry or not.

Ronnie Martin technically had a RS year available and didn't play this season, so he might actually be a RS JR or 1st year Sr next season.

NaTy Rodgers technicially missed the rest of the season after the Ark game and technically would be able to qualify for a Med RS this past season. It looks like he and the coaches are going to pursue that as an option. Personally I would be shocked if he were here 5 years, so I don't know if it matters, I think he'll start next year at RG.

Did they change the injury window from 4 to 6 games? I was pretty frustrated that they played him against Arky but left Will Sport in the entire UT game while he played like hot garbage thinking that his redshirt was already burned.

Would be nice if Martin gets another year since he didn't play this season

I don't know, but 247 said that they believe he met the requirement for a Med RS so the coaches are going to pursue it.

Scout Inc graded Hampton yesterday at a 50 out of 100. That translates to a projected 5th round pick. Clowney is a 96 and the highest rated player.

Corey Robinson told the coaches today that he is NOT going Pro early. That's good for us and could be great for Corey, his draft projection was actually 2-4. With another great year, and if he loses some weight, he could push up to a solid 1-2range.

Quarles and Hampton both signed with Relativity Sports’ Eugene Parker and Tory Dandy. The same company represents Dez Bryant and Larry Fitzgerald, among others.

Same company rep's Dez, Fitzgerald, Norwood, Alshon, Suh, Rodgers Cromartie, JPP, Greg Jennings and Steven Jackson.
