Okay, the irony in DeCock writing this article, but anyways ...

I was uniquely in the position to observe what went-on with Quinshad during the entire recruiting process. He was there for every home game except the Clemson game if I remember correctly.
I spoke with him every home game weekend - they tailgated right across from our Cockaboose under the South Endzone.
He waited too long to commit, then we had the big week where Shaq, Fuller and Kwinton all committed bang bang bang. We were still going to take him but wanted him to greyshirt and he wasn't willing.
He's a great kid. Very polite, smart, well-spoken. I pulled for him all last season and I'll be pulling for him in every game except this opener against us.
Privately, he would tell you he made a mistake waiting too long to commit. He was a Gamecock at heart.

meh, he could'a, would'a, should'a. He's doing really well up there, so it all worked out. I wish he would've pulled the trigger for us sooner in the process, but it is what it is.
