No. 2 Connor Shaw, South Carolina
YEAR SIGNED: 2010.
STAR RANKING: Three star.
NATIONAL POSITION RANK: No. 19 dual threat QB in the nation; No. 47 overall prospect in Georgia.
THE SKINNY: Some have called Shaw the best quarterback in South Carolina history. That’s worthy of debate, but he was outstanding during his Gamecocks’ career–that certainly isn’t up for much debate. He started for two and a half seasons and threw for 6,074 yards and 56 TDs with only 16 INTs, while also rushing for 1,683 yards and 17 TDs in his career. In his three seasons as the starter, the Gamecocks won a total of 33 games–11 games each season. Coming out of high school, the Gamecocks, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Wake Forest and West Virginia reportedly offered scholarships.

Stanford
Obviously, I'm glad that Shaw came here, but I didn't know that Stanford offered a scholly. I'm sorry, but if Stanford offers you a free education, I don't know why you wouldn't jump all over that.
