Having attended the game last night, I can speak for the fans first hand that we really deflated our own sails with the costly penalties. No championship team can continue to have that many flags and expect to win big time games.

We were scared to run. Knowshon only getting 9 touches, what the hell? Stafford probably still has his shoulder in ice this morning after throwing it 40+ times.

We pulled a Tennessee. Changing our bread and butter game plan for something else that we figured might work better. We had some big plays, just wasn't enough. Our injuries finally caught up with us as well. The lines played good, but not as good as Bama's.

I'd love to have their lines, but wouldn't trade a single one of or skill players for any of theirs.

On a bighter note, I don't think I'd seen so many fights in one night in my life. All of which was retarded, inbred Bama fans on the losing end. Our local medical facilities economy really got a boost last night, assuming the Gumps have insurance of course

But we'll bounce back. Tough time to have a bye week coming up, but hopefully Richt can work the kinks out.

GO DAWGS!!!

from the postgame show, Richt said that Knowshon got banged up a little bit last night either in his forearm or elbow, didnt know exactly which one it was, just said he know it was at the connection part of his arm. so i guess thats why he didnt touch the ball much more than he did last night. plus, when you're down by 31, you cant exactly run the thing. alabama is the one who forced us out of our gameplan by making us play catch-up all night long.

and i too saw more fights last night that i have ever seen at a game in athens. truth be told though, i saw more georgia/georgia fights than georgia/alabama fights. sad, really. i guess the team coming out as flat as we did in the first half had some people antsy and at each others throats

I think we battled ourselves as much as we did Bama. 10 more freakin' penalties to their 2. Unreal

After last nite, what do you guys think will be your end of season record? Just curious. I've thought all along you would lose 3 games. I guess we will see.

Knowshon is a great player and arguably one of the best backs in the country. Having said that, our DL has been great this year and it didn't help him that y'alls OL is your weakness. Terrence Cody tackled Knowshon at the LOS and covered him up completely so that's probably how Knowshon got banged up. I don't care how good you are, if a 365 lb. beast falls on you, you're gonna get banged up.

I hope Knowshon gets well soon. I don't think you'll need him for the UT game. Good luck the rest of the season Dawgs!

i think we legitimately have a chance to win the rest of the games on our schedule.

however, i think we will probably win 2 out of 3 with the LSU, Florida and Auburn stretch, with the loss most likely against LSU.

but i think we showed in the 2nd half that we have the ability to win the rest of our games.

it also depends on how the injuries are. everything is kind of unclear but it seems that Knowshon is questionable as of right now for Tennesee. Kris Durham is out for atleast Tennessee. Both of our best tight ends are banged up and will likely be out for Tennessee, so we are moving a tackle to TE.

so, as you can see from that, we could also very well lose to tennessee and other teams on our schedule with the season falling apart.

but in my heart of hearts, i see 10-2 with an SEC east title and a rematch of 1 of our 2 losses against either Bama or LSU in Atlanta.

Not sure. I can give you a better answer after I see how we do against UT, since they've had our number the past couple of years. If I were you I'd be a little concerned about your Tigers. Our kid sister down the street off North Ave. only gave up one garbage TD to Miss. State late in the 4th with their scrubs in, and you guys gave them 24 and allowed them to keep it close. I'd be a bit worried going forward.

Classy post 1283. Ha, you're probably right about when his injury occured, not to mention one of our better defenders in Ellerbe. We just got our asses kicked, and we helped your cause. If we wouldn't have had that stupidass roughing the passer penalty during your first drive when we got the turn over no telling how the game would have turned out. But woulda, coulda, shoulda. Hope to get another crack at ya'll in Atlanta. Hope you beat the snot out of the Tigers, both of them

That penalty was a game changer, but it didn't really look that bad to me. Hard to say what would have happened if it hadn't been called.

I remember the last time between the hedges, Brodie got the crap kicked out of him on CB blitzes where guys took 3 steps after he'd thrown the ball, and no flags. Maybe it's the wheel of karma turning around.

I was stratching my head too, but you didn't hear me complaining!!

But you're right, it really did set the tone for the game. UGA was jacked that they had stopped us, as well they should be, then it was all for not

Not trying to be a smart arse, but that is why they play 2 halves. Gotta show for both of them.

LSU is too good on the the lines for UGA in my opinion. UGA shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly last night didn't help, but bama beat them up in the trenches. and as good as bama's lines are both of lsu's are better

Well Darry Beckwith did not play, and Ricky Jean-Francois and Charles Alexander were knocked out with injuries early in the game, and we did not put anywhere near as much pressure on the qb after they were out. But we were never threatened with losing. The bigger the game, the much better the defense we play! Too bad your Jawja Dogs could not stop Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson last night, even a little. Plus, Ga and Bama have to come to Baton Rouge, and neither will win here!
