Seemed like he was what was handy for Joe Aleva after Jimbo pants him in the coaching search. Still, it worked out for a while with Orgeron. He was 49-17 at LSU and didn't post a losing record.

Woodward was never an Orgeron believer, I don't think, and Orgeron's off-field behavior was clearly drawing some side eye. I thought that he'd get fired in the off week after Ole Miss, especially if he lost at Ole Miss.
