Was there for the first SEC matchup with Gators. Gators won but it was a good game. After the game was over they opened the field up to all fans. Gators were on the field taking a photos and so were the Ags.
When I was a kid we ran onto the field after the game to get wristbands, armbands, and knee pads from the players. When I was a student there the field was usually open day time and evening. We used to play flag football there all the time. Sidelines were the goal lines and Goal Line & 20 were sidelines... we played across the field.
Never hear of anything to do with Kyle Field being sacred until high dollar turf went it. Still not sure it is considered anything other than a football field. Grass around the MSC has always been during my lifetime. Just the truth.
