This is a tough one. LSU has the sheer number of fans but I think most of them have admitted they have no clue of what is going to happen this season. They could be really good, they could be really average, or even really bad (in which case this board will burn like the California wild fires on gameday).
UGA has been fairly quiet. The Vols, usually a strong contender, are just hoping that things don't get worse. Wild optimism for Arkansas this year is thinking we win 7 games. You can't get an off-season title for that.
Which leads us to our lone star state contenders. A&M really put in the work this off season for the title. This should be their title in a walkover. But Texas lived down to their reputation of being the most hated school in the South and came on strong out of nowhere.
I say its A&M with a strong showing from their in state rivals.

I tend to agree, and I would hate to see UTx taking titles from tamu before officially joining.
But…if UTx is in the mix, OU also made a strong push.
