Arkansas is back down to 10 commitments for the Class of 2023 after losing wide receiver Anthony Evans from the haul on Friday. Evans, 5-10, 155, went public with his decision at around 6 p.m. on Friday afternoon to become the Hogs' first de-commitment in this year's cycle.

"I am beyond thankful for all of the love and support from the Arkansas Razorbacks coaching staff, fanbase, and recruiting media. After discussing with my family, coaches and mentors I've come to the realization that there's a lot of things I need to carefully evaluate before making this major decision. Although University of Arkansas will still be one of the programs I am heavily considering, I am officially decommitting. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this process. We only get one shot at this decision & I would like to make sure it's the best fit for me & my future. Thank you for everything during the time of my commitment Razorback nation. #wps"

Evans initially committed to the Razorbacks on November 25, 2021. Arkansas was the first Power 5 program to offer the speedy receiver last May. In recent weeks, Evans has added new offers from Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arizona and others.

After landing an offer from the defending national champs, Evans told HawgSports "No sir, everything is just fine #woopig" when asked if the offer might force him to look around. The receiver did not respond to a text asking the same question following the Sooners' offer on April 15.

With Evans off the board, Arkansas' class drops to No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC.
