It's quite conceivable that Texas owes what success it has to the "charity cases" it has historically played over the past century!

It's played in two very weak and pathetic conferences, the SWC and the Big 12. Texas has piled up wins against their "charity cases" in order to bolster its own self-image and standing before the rest of college football.

Imagine if Texas had played in the SEC for the past century...does anyone in their right mind think they would even be near as successful as they've been up to now?

As it is, Texas hasn't done CRAP in the last 10-15 years and for many years in the SWC, they didn't do a whole lot compared to what teams in much tougher conferences did over the same period of time in history.

Texas...is....a....FRAUD!!

That is part of it! It is making sure Texas get the bigger cut of the payouts and a better bowl game than the school deserved each time. Same for scheduling and where the championship game being played each year. It was played at Kansas City and then moved to Dallas. No switching back and forth each year. It became a one team and one State conference with addition of Oklahoma!
