Sec gets nothing from Texas. This is a bad decision

This is ridiculous. Look, as a football fan, I hate Texas with a passion, but to say they do not bring anything to the conference table financially is ignorant.
When A&M joined, it allowed the SEC to negotiate TV deals with a percentage of the Houston and DFW TV market included. With Texas in the fold, you now add the Austin and San Antonio market, and you are no longer splitting Houston and Dallas with the Big 12.
You would literally be adding a television market larger than that of Atlanta. And that's before adding anything OU would bring to the table.
In 2019, SEC member schools received $45M each in conference revenue, most of that from the TV deal. It is not inconceivable for that number to increase 50% with Texas and OU in the conference.
