I have a 1 year old Rec tec 700 and a 6 month old Camp Chef Woodwind 36.

Build quality and performance they are identical. They both are equal in temperature stability as well as imparting smoke.

Still feel they are pretty equal after almost aonther year?

I've narrowed my search down to these 2 grills and getting ready to pull the trigger.

Yes. Note that when I am talking about the Camp Chef I am referring specifically to the Woodwind model. I don't have experience with the others.

As far as pellet grills go, it's still amazing. It's also held up well to being outside through the winter.
