i think spurrier is simply outdated and past his prime in terms of coaching. everyone has caught up to him and he is no longer the only genius in the room. add that to no longer having access to arguably the most talented pool of players in the country and i don't think the results are really that surprising. USCjr's problem will always be that it is in the same division w/ UT, UF and UGA...they might beat one of them every year, but never all three.
