The reason they are capable of getting comparable per attempt numbers is precisely because teams were out there running 3-1-7 defenses and other crazy small body personnel to cope with the passing game. All that ultimately matters is an offense can run effectively when they have to but Alabama got there because they could move big bodies while LSU got there because they forced the defense to go small then started moving bodies.
Not even a jab. I’m trying to pump up Joe Burrow’s impact here.
