This right here. It's amazing how hard it is to change muscle memory. It's going to take an incredible amount of mental focus to learn things the right way, and then practice that so much that it becomes second nature.

It's never too late. I'm probably grasping here but since the first time I saw Nix play he has always reminded me of Brett Favre. I'm not sure about the arm strength but most everything else is similar, same size, same style, same mentally and even the same accuracy issues. Nix is actually ahead of Favre at this point in their careers by a decent margin. I say all that to simply point out that it isn't too late. That gunslinger/do it myself mentality can be a positive especially leadership wise. Just need some of the rough edges smoothed out so he can make the easy plays from the pocket when it's there.
