Zero. Fair market. Same as the male discus thrower. It's not an equality issue.


I'm not saying it isn't. I'm saying that it creates a huge gap between maybe 10% of the athletes on campus and the rest.

Frankly, I'm surprised that Democrats are pushing this, given how adamantly they support Title IX. Don't expect to see female athletes rallying around this.

You can talk about "fair market value" all you want, but we all know that as long as Title IX exists in college sports, the concept of fair market value doesn't exist.

They'd be hard pressed to enforce that unless the university actually was paying. Try forcing Ed Jones Subaru to endorse volleyball.
