Nope, you're wrong. Aaron carried decades-old racism into his grave. I won't dispute that he was racially attacked by Whites in the early 70s. But I grew up in Atlanta much later & Aaron was highly revered. Although he was black, I never heard Whites speak ill of Aaron.

He ignored racial improvements between Whites and blacks & chose to hold on to the racism until his death. Perhaps the media used him for racial divisiveness, but he also embraced it.
