Glad to see Bama players doing so well. This vote is real simple. If folks are voting for the best player in college football then Smith will win the Trophy. If folks are voting for the winner to be the most important player in college football then Mac Jones will win. In the end I think Mac wins it. He should at least anyway. If he had got hurt this year and Young had to come in and start a few games then Bama would not only have not made the playoffs but they would have went 0 for how many games Mac would have missed. Young was not ready for the spotlight. No way he could have carried the team on his back like Mac did.

The last regular season game may have done Smith in...the punt return for a TD may have saved him but I think jones wins it!

The criteria is supposed to be best college football player. Not the mvp. However, if they stuck with the criteria some freakishly big o lineman would win it most years.

I don’t agree with this. Young has some serious arm talent. I was disappointed the staff didn’t let him run the full offense when he was in the game for mop up duty.

We played Tennessee, MSU, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas to end the season. We could have ran Najee in the wildcat those games - for the entire game - and won. Young would have boat raced them just like Mac did.
