I hear so many people state what a moron Saban was for attempting that kick and have never understood that mindset.
Yea, it sucks for Bama the way it turned out, but it took one of the rarest plays ever to cause it to backfire.
Making a 57 yard kick is not even close to being impossible...especially when the kid routinely made them in practice.
And frick you for causing me to defend Bama.....

Someone on bama's staff should have noticed the players Auburn put on the field but attempting that kick to prevent overtime was not stupid.

Let me help you out here...the decision to kick the FG may have not been wrong...maybe
But the outcome was 100% on coaching...bama was not prepared and it was obvious.
Don’t remember the details, but there were poor coaching decisions by Saban that led to that point also.
Also Saban was outcoached and fricked up the Unfair Game against Auburn.
The guy is not perfect and doesn’t lose very often, but he has often been directly responsible for his loses.
