How exactly would you “stop” this virus that even the harshest shutdowns in the country have failed to stop?

It didn't originate here, so that makes no sense. China could have told the truth, quarantined everyone, informed all countries about the virus and stopped travel in and out of there. Trump did more than they did with his travel bans and it didn't even originate here.
