It's pretty clear that Shrader has not made much of an impression on Leach. During press conferences most of the time the only QBs that get named are Costello and Rogers.
Leach does not value athleticism and running ability in QBs. He wants quick reads, smart decision makers, and accurate throwers.

Shrader is not Leach's guy, or prototypical qb, but Shrader can throw just fine. He's a pot of gold, if not for us, then someone else.
