It's not that hard to sit in judgement of both. The CSA was only around for 4 years and all it did was fight a war primarily over the right to own slaves.

Then pull that USA flag down now! Stop being a hypocrite. I don't see much good coming from the current US govt and its truly evil empire. At least the CSA was fighting to remove a punitive tariff that made Southerners pay 85% of federal revenue.

Why didn't Lincoln free all the slaves in the North at the start of the war if the war was just about slavery? NJ still had slaves in the last year of the war!

What does our evil govt do besides bail out big banks, bomb Mideast nations it wants to regime change, sanction the rest if they don't play ball? The CSA was not any more evil than our current govt. Obama helped overthrow Gaddafi in Libya, and now Blacks are being sold in slave markets there.
