What do you think about oil tanker security in the Somali coast area?
I've heard that they're a little castrated and it largely depends on who you're working for. Maritime laws can be really weird, which is why most non-military ships seek out less-than-lethal measures. I could dig around a little more (most of my knowledge on this is chewing the fat with guys while on OPFOR).

If you are going to do security then, yes, Dubai would be the best choice in the Middle East. I would still be nervous about taking a job in that neck of the woods, particularly during this current health crisis. With no insult intended to Dubai they have nice but not particularly deep medical services. A foreign PMC would be fairly low on the treatment totem pole. If you can hold out for a few months until things settle down than Dubai might not be a bad place to wind up.
I'd be worried about doing tanker security, because, as Straws has pointed out, you don't have a ton of options available to you. That having been said it depends on the contract. If you can find a steak and blowjob contract... find out if the ship has a safe space (non Mizzou kind) in case y'all do get boarded where you can hole up and wait for the cavalry to come.
The problem with the Legion, right now, is that they have suspended recruitment. The pay is not wonderful, though the contacts you make would be. Its more of an investment in the future. If you have at least one Jewish grandparent the IDF is always hiring in Israel.
Lets see what Straws contacts turn on up on tanker security first. Best of luck to you buddy. My foreign military contacts are a lot like me... well past their sell by date. I can't really pass on current info to you.
