Not a chance. Bud Wilkinson's Oklahoma Sooners were 40 games into a 47-game winning streak at the end of the 1956 season. Oklahoma had six shutouts that season alone and averaged over 40 points per game. Like LSU's in 2019, it was one of the great seasons in college football history.
