It's always great to be a Longhorn, and we'll give you a good game in September, although I reserve the right to change that to "good" or "competitive" or "good old college try" depending on how things go for us on Tuesday, and how things go for you on Saturday.

On the one hand, I'm of course disappointed with Texas (the flagship) football. On the other hand, I'm fine with Texas (the state) producing a good number of great players. If either school does hit the right mix in coaching, that's going to to work out well for them, and they'll keep more of those players. I'd feel a lot worse if Texas had gone full bore on soccer or lacrosse and wasn't producing any talent.
