Alabama could have 7 1st round picks this year and we all know Alabama is used to winning national chamipnship rings so anything short of a national title shot is essentially meaningless to the fans and players. If I am Jerry Jeudy or Henry Ruggs or Trevon Diggs what do i have to gain by playing in a game that my school doesnt care about anyway and potentially getting injured and losing millions? These kids have already watched their potential #1 pick QB get hurt and maybe lose millions. Also, all these guys have Natl title rings already so it isnt like they have never won in the CFB postseason before. Just trying to see if there is an argument for them playing outside of "you shouldnt leave your team hanging."
