I believe it’s his decision to hold on to the ball a bit too long waiting for someone to separate to make a pass or a block. He can release it so fast but when you get caught by a 300 lb man and try to torque your body to throw at the same time, your going to get yourself hurt.BTW, his OL is has not been giving him enough time either or the back misses his blocking assignment. When they do their job he is the best I’ve seen (college) in the pocket.

In all seriousness, I do believe it has more to do with Tua unfortunately being more injury prone than most QB's in recollection at Alabama, as well as the fact that he has a tendency to hold on to the football too long trying to extend plays.
