Emory is serviceable but similarly this game went exactly opposite of what Mullen claims is his philosophy. When I say this, there's nothing behind the comment like "I'm unhappy with Mullen" or "I'm not sure Mullen should be here" but this is the type of game that could break Emory.
He should not be sharing snaps in huge games like these when he's an underclassman. Not only because it threw our offense out of sync when it mattered most, but one of the reasons Franks turned out to be such a head case was because he started a game way too early in his career and it just ruined his psyche.
I'm not saying that happened Emory, but putting Emory in the Red Zone several times in the game was begging for another QB to lose their self-confidence. I would much rather see Emory start a drive and finish it, then move on from there.
Both QBs were extremely poised, and it should only give us a lot more hope for the future.
