Gonna be fun again. It will take a few years, but when the big money model dies it will transition to club sports where you have tryouts from the student body. Nobody will be on athletic scholarship and will be playing because they enjoy to play.

By that time technology will be such that 5 guys with a go pro and tablet will stream games live as good as ESPN does them today.

It will be a lot more fun. Lots of kids that get a chance at an education today will lose that chance completely, more will be going juco or trade school, and even more will have extra student loan debt but hey, we will have stopped exploiting kids by giving them hundreds of thousands in free education.
