But I think it was due more to Southern Miss just being bad defensively more than we turned a corner.

We struggled to run the football against New Mexico State, dude. As bad as Southern Miss is defensively, they can't be any worse than the defense we played in week two.

Our run game was better because we pulled less and got man on hat more. We also slanted more
and allowed RB to press hole more.

Harris did run with power and found some nice lanes right out the gate. But Again note line was more slant blocking.
I think B.Rob needs more touches as he get's going after a few back to back possessions is established.
I think we been holding back on the dual backfield with both and we will see that against the likes
of T&AM and lsu.Because both are more of a threat to lb'ers on those swing routs and 24 will lead block in called apron.
Also we can read run one and still have flare pass option to either side with the other.plus a 3wr set or 1 TE, 2wr set plus dual backfield.

We will see # 2 get more touches down the back end of teams we play like a LSU,AU games.
I think we are saving him do to weight this year, but we will see him more later into season.
I think we realized that pulling without our quickest OG was a mistake and allowing 69, 73
and 79 to slant or straight ahead was more productive. But this was MSU and we will need to see it over the next two games.

Fair point. I had forgotten about that. But if we run the same game plan against NMSU as we did yesterday, I think we get similar, good results. It's still hard to tell where we are with the running attack. Now throw the wildcard of Cornbread into the mix and it gets really murky.
