A salary cap in the NCAA? This is dumb.

The only way pay for play could possibly work is to take the pay part away from the schools. If a kid is marketable(very few will be) they will get paid. If not they won't. Every thing is fair as far as title IX and other sports because it's out of the schools hands and all kids have the same opportunity.

It also seems to maintain amateurism as they aren't technically being paid by their team to play, but by a third party for other things.

How about we just allow a farm system like baseball has and allow players to go to it as they wish whether it by out of high school, or after a year or two in college athletics? Secondly, how about we not penalize a student athlete for entering in the draft and allow them back if they aren’t drafted as high as they wish?

Allows cfb to keep amateur status and players to make money if that’s what they want to do.
