A&M could be a top 10 team, but since they play the #1, #2, #3 and #4 teams, they won't be ranked as high as Texas because of that week arse Big12 schedule.
I wonder why tamu was a middle of the pack Big 12 program then if the schedule is so easy.
The aggys probably did worse in their last 10 years in the Big 12 than they have been doing in the SEC.

The 12-team 2-division Big 12 was the 2nd toughest league in College Football from 1996 until Gary Barnett was fired from Colorado and Frank Solich was fired from Nebraska. From 2005 until Nebraska left after the 2010 season the Big 12 North was probably the weakest Division in College Football.
Think about it. From 1996-2004, each division alternated conference titles.
1996 - t.u. (South)
1997 - Nebraska (North)
1998 - Texas A&M (South)
1999 - Nebraska (North)
2000 - Oklahoma (South)
2001 - Colorado (North)
2002 - Oklahoma (South)
2003 - Kansas State (North)
2004 - Oklahoma (South)
In the 2010 season, A&M would have gone to the title game if they played Oklahoma State's nonconference schedule instead of Top 10 Arkansas as it took the 5th tiebreaker (BCS ranking) to put Oklahoma in the title game over A&M (who beat them by 19 points) and Oklahoma State.
