No. For 2 reasons:

- A road loss to the likely #1 or #2 team in the country when you are going to be like 20 pt underdogs, is not a big deal.
- LSU would likely still make the playoffs in a scenario where their only loss is to #1 Bama on the road.


Coach O isn't getting fired unless he loses 4 games or more... So, its not a must win, but in order to stay off the hot seat, it has to at least be somewhat competitive. You have to score points and keep the game in question going into the second half. Even if you don't, if you win every other game on the schedule then it doesn't really matter.
