Maybe, maybe not. But some of the Texas fans seem to think their win had nothign to do with the circumstances of the game, and plainly shows that texas had the better team.

That may, or may not be true, but I am not going to say or insinuate anything like that on here. There were a lot of reasons Texas beat us. Just like there were a lot of reasons Maryland and Oklahoma State beat Texas.
Sometimes these things happen because t=one team is clearly better than the other, and sometimes there are a myriad of reasons.

All well and good, but are you saying they are correct in pointing to the scoreboard as if that tells the whole story? I mean, I am all for giving Texas their props, and have several times in the past and in this thread.

Whether or not I think excuses are appropriate (I don't) is immaterial. Their response is just as inappropriate.

Maybe, bu I think we would all agree that maryland does nto have the better team. Probably not either year, although I don't remember what kind of year Texas had the first time they played. Typically, in order to evaluate the success or failure of a year in football you have to look at the full body of work, not just one game or two.
