Texas fans just don’t want their big win to be diminished, and red five hates it too for some reason, but the factors present for that game aren’t imaginary. Texas simply didn’t play the #5 team in the final playoff poll, and they won by 7.

Bud I was at the game. We beat you guys soundly for four quarters (garbage time TD to pull within 7). The score wasn’t indicative of the overall tone of the game. We owned both sides of the line.

I’m surprised at the Bulldog posters making all of the bogus excuses. The fans at the game all agreed it was an asskicking and were disappointed but otherwise fun to be around. This all seems like some weird revisionist history- take the loss and own it.

And to OP’s retarded question- I will leave you with the immortal words of the great Don Meredith:
“If ifs and buts we’re candies and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas.”
