PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — 247Sports is once again out on the west coast for “The QB Retreat”, an annual elite quarterback outing that is put on by well-respected quarterback coach Steve Clarkson.

This year’s collection of talent is special and features some top quarterbacks from across the country in the 2020 and 2021 classes, as well as the nation’s top college quarterbacks, who assist as camp counselors for the youth quarterbacks during the event. There is also a fun, yet competitive portion of the event that allows these college signal-callers an opportunity to show off their skills.

Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, ... Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa ...and others are all expected to be in town on Saturday and Sunday showing off their skills and helping the young talent work on their craft.

Regarding the high school talent, DJ Uiagalelei is expected to workout.

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star quarterback Bryce Young is a big-time talent from the class of 2020. The 6-0, 176-pounder, who committed to USC back on July 25, 2018, is expected to throw at the event. 247Sports lists him as the No. 18 player overall and No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the class. He has offers from Alabama, Miami, UCLA, Georgia and many others. The 247Sports Composite lists him as the No. 33 overall prospect.

Marietta (Ga.) four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey committed to Tennessee back on Nov. 29, 2018

Another class of 2020 quarterback to know is Luca Diamont committed to Duke on Feb. 4, 2019.

Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne four-star quarterback Jake Garcia is a top signal-caller from the class of 2021 and he’s expected in town. The 6-2, 185-pounder is still considering scholarship offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Nebraska, Miami and many others across the country.

Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany four-star quarterback Miller Moss

Another notable signal-caller is Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark high school four-star quarterback Aaron McLaughlin. ...the Razorbacks are the perceived favorites per the 247Sports Crystal Ball. WATCH: '21 QB Aaron McLaughlin throws on day 1 at The QB Retreat

Travion Ford plans camps at Alabama, Oklahoma Josh Helmholdt • Rivals.com @JoshHelmholdt

EAST ST. LOUIS – After a 17-sacks sophomore season, St. Louis defensive end Travion Ford 247 has seen his offer list swell to nearly 20 total schools. The 2021 prospect plans to camp with two of those schools this summer.

“I am supposed to be visiting Oklahoma and Alabama again, going to their camps,” Ford reported.

Ford was just in Norman, Ok, visiting with the Sooners the weekend of May 11 with his teammate, four-star linebacker Antonio Doyle
.
“That was a great experience,” Ford said. “They treated me with a lot of love, all of the coaches.

“They said I would be a good edge rusher for them. They said I would be like Ronnie Perkins
, he came to (Oklahoma) from my school and is really good. He’s probably going to get drafted out of there. He’s supposed to be training with us in the summer and I’ll ask him some questions.”

Ford has also previously been to Alabama, but that trip took place last November to see the Crimson Tide face rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl.

“I talked to Nick Saban a little bit,” Ford said. “My dad, he was excited to talk to (Saban). I was happy when they offered me, and I was surprised too being a No. 1 team.”

A unique prospect who played primarily with his hand in the ground as a sophomore, the 6-foot-3, 207-pound Ford is being recruited for both the linebacker and defensive end positions by different schools.

“I am trying to go somewhere I can start as a freshman or see the field,” he noted.
