CLEMSON BEGINS MARCH TO LOADED 2020 CLASS
Clemson won’t be able to sign a big class, but the group the defending national champs do bring in will have a chance to be the best in the nation with a freak at every position.
The Tigers are starting to trend on the 247Sports Crystal Ball for the nation’s No. 1 prospect, five-star defensive end Bryan Bresee, and have been considered the leader for quite some time regarding the top-ranked quarterback in the class in DJ Uiagalelei. As things stand right now, I could see Bresee and Uiagalelei battling for the No. 1 prospect spot with Uiagalelei currently checking in at No. 9.
Other top targets for Clemson include the nation’s No. 1 receiver Julian Fleming, defensive lineman Jordan Burch and cornerback Fred Davis II, who all rank five-stars. The Tigers inked five five-stars, including Trevor Lawrence, in a smaller 2018 class and Dabo Swinney and his staff are in position to do something similar in 2020.

Pushing Uiagalelei out West includes linebackers Sav'ell Smalls and hard-hitter Justin Flowe who is as good a football prospect as there is in this class. Other names to keep an eye on include Ohio State offensive tackle commit Paris Johnson Jr., defensive lineman Myles Murphy and athlete Arik Gilbert, who have the body types coveted for a top-tier ranking.
