New Jersey has been a hotbed of talent for a while. Its a surprise Rutgers has been as bad as they have been for so long.
I think the problem is that while New Jersey produces some very good talent they don't produce a ton of it which means there isn't much left for Rutgers once bigger schools get finished cherry picking the state.
For Alabama being able to go up North and take a few players is a great way to thumb their nose at all the Northern programs who fish for recruits in the SEC waters.
