Is Bama automatically in? Would they take it a little easier next week?

They were basically in as soon as Michigan lost.

See I still think they’d take OU or tOSU over a 1 loss Bama

We will see, my take is you can't lose your way in. Winner take all in ATL. We will see but I think the committee would view it as a playoff loss to lose in a CCG.

Bama versus UCF is what the world wants....

Yes. No matter what happens Bama would be in.

For UGA:
Win and in 100%.
Lose and out 100%

Bama:
Win and in 100%
Lose and in 85%

We'll have to wait and see how our game plays out if we lose.

I’d say Bama might already be in. But if Oklahoma or Ohio State win their conferences in dominating fashion Bama could POSSIBLY be left out.

But yeah if Clemson or ND lose Bama is in even if we beat them next week.

They could play their 3rd string and lose on purpose and still get in.

No team has lost their conference championship game and still got in the playoff yet.

If we beat Alabama, they’re out.

Two loss team is not getting in over one loss conference champ.

You’re right but back in the BCS days Oklahoma lost a Big 12 championship and got in. I think Nebraska or someone did it too

This was down voted but it's one of the more accurate posts in here. I've been saying since the fricking summer that UGA fans should be anti upset this year but I saw countless people today pulling for osu for some reason. Their loss absolutely hurts and means that we need Oklahoma and Ohio State to beat fricking arse in their championship games now. If Clemson and or Notre Dame lose we're fricked because bama is undoubtedly in at that point

You can dodge your conference championship game and get in. And you can not even have a conference championship game and get in.

But you can’t lose a conference championship game and get in.

If you can, then what is the point if a playoff?

True, but if we play a close game and OSU and OU both lose next week we could still get in.

Yeah I feel like that's half the reason playoffs were started to begin with. This isn't the BCS. Still, there is no precedent for it under the new system. If nothing else maybe the committee is tired of Alabama winning all the time.

One loss Notre Dame would be ahead of us in the pecking order at that time.

It’s simply hard for me to conceive of a remotely realistic scenario in which we get in with two losses.

The abomination in Baton Rouge eliminated that possibility I believe.

If we beat Bama, and they get in over a Big 10 or Big 12 champion, then you're telling the college football world the whole thing is rigged. You might as well call it the Bama Invitational. If we beat Bama, they have no business getting in over a Big 10 champion OSU, especially for the second straight year.

Earning your way in has to mean something.
