I noticed on the sec recruiting forums that auburn cant land sec OTs

They are bitching that if they are paying players then they are paying the wrong ones. They need sec tackles and they feel they have only signed 1-2 for the last 4-5 years, and still do not have any this class.

Talented OL are a desired commodity at the moment.

Maybe the system is partly to blame, but there are plenty of teams running some version of the power spread that are loaded with OL talent.

My guess is that coaching staffs got used to being able to find decent OL with minimal effort and now you have to bust your butt to find what used to fall into your hands. It doesn't help Auburn any that the two schools they directly compete against in recruiting have been stockpiling linemen left and right. Every lineman that Alabama or Georgia signs and sticks on their bench is one less player out there for Auburn to sign.

As for us... Bert's intention to turn us into Offensive Line University blew up in his face to the extent we can't even keep good linemen in state anymore.
