Jackson will be the better player, period. An elite OL recruit would be preferred but I'm not sure Shep is elite.

I think the other question is if Evans doesn’t have the grades to enroll immediately and it’s going to drag into the summer, do you take Shepherd/Jackson if Jackson wants in. I say yes, because I don’t think Evans is the type of kid you can depend on showing up in 7 months even if he says he’s committed. Not an easy decision though.
