You indicated that you want to win by our rivals having players that are not very good.

Talk about restating someone's words in a different way so you can criticize their argument. Exhibit A, your honor. Wanting the best players to play for Bama instead of our rivals doesn't mean I fear competition or am a "pansy" (did you major in middle school put-downs? "Pansy"? Lulz)

And do you know what a 'red herring' is?

Absolutely. You might want to brush up on your definitions. From dictionary.com: red-herring- something intended to divert attention from the real problem or matter at hand. You pulled a boxing analogy to try to paint my argument into something we both know was never my intent. I never said I wanted Bama to play (or box in your analogy) horrible competition. I simply argued that your position of a hybrid pro bowl player (your example, not mine) for our rivals isn't something I desire for them as it would result in more losses and fewer championships for Bama. That's a totally different argument than not wanting to play any good teams, or being afraid of competition. That whole analogy was a complete diversion from my point. And we both know that to be true. Thus, the red herring, most certainly fits the bill.

If we meet again in another discussion, I will consider you and I to have a clean slate in order to hopefully have a nice discussion next time. If you choose not to do that, no worries. Take care, and Roll Tide.

Likewise. I'm not a grudge-holder. Have a nice day!
