I'm happy with what he's done so far, and his recruiting seems to be taking off. BUT, until we show real progress on offense, there's reason to remain skeptical.

As far as Florida goes, he was probably not a great fit there to begin with, and it was pretty obvious he wasn't ready to be a HC at that point.

I am glad he fired Roper, because he probably could've gotten away with giving him another year just because we went from 3 wins to 9 in his first two seasons. Hiring Roper in the first place was stupid. If he had kept him on, I would've been afraid he didn't learn a thing from his failure at Florida. Now he needs to keep his hands off the offense and give us the modern attack he promised when he got hired. Do that, and I think he could be really successful here and stick around a long time.

Whether it ultimately works out or not, he's upgrading the talent on campus and showing the school's administration what it takes to be successful recruiting. He wasn't my first choice to take over, but so far Carolina fans have to be happy with what he's done.
