A judge dismissed two felony charges against San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster on Wednesday. Now a misdemeanor marijuana charge against the former Alabama All-American also has been dismissed.

Foster was arrested and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 12. He had been scheduled to appear in Tuscaloosa County District Court on June 20. However, the charge against Foster has been dropped after he completed a pretrial intervention or diversion program.

In Santa Clara County Superior Court on Wednesday, Judge Nona Klippen ordered the dismissal of charges of felony domestic violence and forcefully attempting to prevent a victim from reporting a crime pending against Foster.

With that decision, the 49ers allowed Foster to join their offseason practice sessions for the first time this year on Thursday... (read more)
