Yeah. (we) did. Im still on the road to dealing with it. One thing that did help was that he did a Jalen Hurts and got rid of dreads and now is a clean cut looking guy. I liked that. Not so much for me but for my parents who are both still living and have had to evolve along with the rest of us. Racial bias is deeply embedded. Its a process to get beyond it. I have to say that. That includes his family too. My daughter has her share of white girl crazy. My wife kicked my arse...Im the patriarch of our family. So how I deal with it, is how our other kids process. So I had to get beyond my bullshite.

At the end of the day,I find if you just deal with everybody as people you find common ground is actually not hard. Food, babies, sports, booze, whatever. For old farts like me this is a process. for my grandkids etc...they dont even SEE skin color. Thats good.

One thing though that we will probably always differ on is politics. Thats ok. We all got a vote.
