I’m believing my own eyes and what happened last Monday night. And I’m believing the lack of offense we showed against evey single good defense we played the last two years.

And wasn’t Daboll at all the practices?

Look, this argument is lost. Get over it.

I can't believe this is still being argued about. Jalen got us there, couldn't finish the job. Tua took over and is now the alpha dog it appears. End of story. It doesn't matter why he didn't play earlier. We won the damn National Championship. That's all that matters.

ETA: I argued for Jalen. I thought he earned the right to start and play. Tua is the better QB. River, you were correct in that.

You scream "reading comprehension", but don't care to have any yourself. Once again, I'm all for Tua taking over the reigns. And again, I'm all for Tua taking over the reigns. What I'm saying is there is a legitimate reason why Tua was not handed those reigns sooner.

Daboll is an OC who's looking to put up as many points as possible, so he can leverage it into an NFL job. Of course he wants a gunslinger over the safe option. It blows my mind that people think that is some ground-breaking news. Nick Saban cares about winning, period. He obviously felt more confident about putting the safe option out there and relying on the running game and defense to win games. When Jalen played poorly and he needed offense to win the championship, he made the right call and put in the gunslinger who proved himself worthy. We won it all, and we still have people complaining about how that switch should have happened sooner...

Daboll doesn't make the call on which QB plays, it's that simple. Saban wants no turnovers, Tua threw them in practice. He is a gunslinger it's what they do.

I think the point has been made over and over. I physically watched practices where Tua threw multiple picks. Saban was pissed, each and every time lol.
