We're on our way home (6:30 Tuesday night) and my Son just took over driving about 60 miles south of Savannah.
Listening to Heath's broadcast streaming via Bluetooth ... it's a good show this afternoon. He does a good job and it makes the drive go faster.
Cannot wait to watch the replay of the game tomorrow.
So anyways, Ybor City was a party. Damn I got liqoured-up and had a blast. Had my entire family meet us there plus one of my Goddaughters and her parents, all Michigan grads.
Michigan had way more fans there than did we IMHO.
Ybor City for the parade ... Pastides was in the parade chunking beads and I yelled to him "Harris!" and he looked over and waved and I acted like I was going to yank up my shirt and show him my tits ... and he threw me some beads.
Damn, I had women giving me beads for showing them my belly ... it was great!
Hungover as crap the next morning. That game is scheduled too early but whatever ... New Year's Day bowl game.
It started-out cool and got colder. Thankfully the rain stopped before the game but it was still misty and the wind was hitting us right in the face. Made it feel like it was in the 30s ... none of us brought cold weather gear.
Had a ton of Michigan fans sitting around us and I am a closet Big Blue fan ... but I damn near got tired of hearing Hail Hail to Michigan in the first half.
Told my Son I thought we would win the game at halftime. My best friend, a Michigan fan, was worried ... he had watched them melt in the second half all season. I think we've made good halftime adjustments all season on defense.
We were faster. Their DLine was excellent inside.
Thought BMac made some good adjustments at the half too.
Sure made our trip better pulling out the win.
Damn, just looked over toward the coast and what a helluva moon is rising to the east! Looks awesome reflecting on the water!
We just got a winter storm alert for back home. Heard y'all have had some seriously cold weather.
9 wins sure is a lot better than 8.
Gotta hand it to our fans on the SECr. Saw a couple of weeks ago that the majority of us predicted 8-4 with a chance to win 9. And we did.
Looking ahead towards next season that schedule sure looks juicy.
We're due for a look at that and predictions on this board soon but I fully expect us to be favored in 9 games. A pick'em in 1 and a dog in 2.

This trip was a helluva lot better than my last bowl trip (2010 Peach Bowl). This time I broke up the trip by spending the night in Jacksonville off I-95 and ran into a bunch of pissed off Louisville fans at our hotel. I find it sad that not counting the playoff games that the SEC only won two bowl games (Miss St and us).
Anyways the parade at Ybor was awesome and I assume Rooster that you were with the VIP’s beside the stage at the pep rally after the parade. I thoroughly enjoyed the tequila bar there which may have lacked a roof but nobody seemed to care or even notice.
My tix for the game were as close to the USC band as I could find. But it didn’t really matter because we were still surrounded by UM fans just like everybody else in the stadium. Coming back to win that game was one of the best feelings I’ve had as a Gamecock fan. It made up for the Peach Bowl loss and then some.
The trip back was smooth and we even ran into one of my wife’s former students, unfortunately it wasn’t Hayden Hurst, at Outback Steakhouse tonight after we got back home. I guess the guys were craving them some bloomin’ onions.
All in all it was a great trip where a good time was had by all, we won the game for win #9, and the seniors went out with a win. I can’t wait till next season to start. We’re losing a lot of good players but our core group is Muschamp’s first class which will be juniors next year. Enjoy 2018 everybody and stay safe out there tomorrow.

Man it was a long ride home ... hit bad traffic in Orlando and Jacksonville. We did see, actually ate with, a lot of MSU fans on the way down when we stopped in Jacksonville.
I learned something on this trip. Air BnB is the bomb. We rented a bungalo ten minutes from the stadium in a nice neighborhood. Ten minutes from Ybor City, ten minutes from the airport. It's the way to go ... this Air BnB thing.
I was at the VIP tent for 15 minutes then the family wanted to walk and bar hop. I think we tried to hit'em all before finishing-up late at the Tampa Brewing Company.
I actually saw Harris the next day going into the stadium and thanked him for chunking the beads at me ... he laughed. Everyone seemed to really have a good time on this trip even with the weather.
