re: Okay fellow Aubies I need some help. Update

I lived in Savannah. Great people there and one of the coolest SE cities.

I had a apartment near Lincoln and State, downtown. I don’t have kids so I don’t know much about the schools. There’s definitely two very different sides of the city, however. For a long time they’ve struggled with gang related violence and drugs. It’s somewhat isolated in specific areas so I would advise taking a look at a crime map for a good idea. Unfortunately politicians in Savannah really ignored several poorer areas for decades in an attempt to contain crime in non-touristy areas.

That being said, I never felt uncomfortable there and every larger city is going to struggle with similar issues.
