In 2015 and 2016, when LSU was recruiting Jimbo, I would have personally supported his hiring as a replacement for Miles in hopes to jump start the offensive problems if our DC could have also been retained - even though many LSU fans believed he was overrated and had sufficiently questionable ethics to justify hiring for such a high price that LSU would be stuck with Jimbo regardless of results. Even though I personally considered Jimbo a worthwhile gamble to replace Miles, I wouldn’t have supported hitching the LSU Football wagon to Jimbo for as much guaranteed money as Jimbo wanted at that time to make the move. Aggies were willing to guarantee even more than he had asked from LSU and power to them if that’s a price they are willing to pay in hopes of boosting their football program to becoming as successful as LSU’s.
