I don't think the fans were wrong about Gus. I think Gus has changed and I would bet that the heat he took from everyone helped. Post LSU Gus > Pre LSU Gus. And because of this, I am a supporter again as well.
The only thing that changed is his team got healthy and his QB stopped thinking and started playing.

Truth but there is no question Gus has made a change in his approach, and the way he is acting these days.
His change is quite noticeable.

He also stopped coaching scared. Play calling got a heck of a lot better. He started treating this team like the juggernaut it is and not like a high school team that needed to trick people to get yards/score.

You think LSU gus who called 17 first down runs is the same Gus we have today?
Teams and coaches evolve or devolve every season.

Stidham shook the rust off. O-line got on the same page. Defense has been good the whole time.
Maybe special teams (other than field goals) will come around by the last game of the season.

I believe that for the most part, but I also believe he learned to stay aggressive and either he or Chip learned to stop getting so goddamn cute all the time.
For the most part anyway.... (QB change in IB when Stidham was balling the frick out)
