Yeah but his o-line could not block water from a water hose

Albino you might want to actually watch the games. Franks had decent protection...not perfect...but what OL is? His problem is that he panics and moves his feet around (almost instantly)...a sure sign of being scared.

He usually gets sacked because of his bone headed decisions and running right into a pass rusher. He made one really good pass yesterday where he planted his feet and threw accurately. When a gangly skinny almost 6'6" tall r/s frosh QB tries to throw while running it usually doesn't turn out well. He stared down WRs yesterday so many times and that's a recipe for disaster. He needs to bulk up and hit the weight room.

He really did. Since there wasn't anything else to do by the end, Dad and I were rewinding back and watching plays after I noted that Franks is at his best when he just passes the ball and at his worst when he doesn't trust the route, scrambles, and then tries to make something happen.

Case in point was a series in the second half right after one of Powell's big catches. Powell ran back across the middle on a quick pass play and was wide open. ESPN even paused it to show that Franks was not being pressured, the play was clearly designed for Powell to get open, he was, yet Franks didn't pass the ball. If you watch the back half, Powell is desperately waving through almost the whole play, but Franks had already blown the play when he didn't get the ball off quickly.

He does lock onto players. If it's obvious to me, a guy who is very bad at Xs and Os, then I can only imagine how obvious it is to guys who have been playing football since grade school. I think he is successful on quick plays because they happen quicker than his starring a player down matters. However, he very often doesn't trust the route and just doesn't pass, so the ball isn't there when the receiver is.

The line has usually been adequate in their part of the job on those plays.
